STATUS DC Retail Design • Creative Direction • Brand Experience

BUILDING A DESTINATION, NOT JUST A STORE

Status DC set out to create a premium buy, sell, and trade experience that felt elevated, memorable, and deeply connected to the culture surrounding sneakers, fashion, and community.

Botër was responsible for helping shape the customer experience through creative direction, retail design, environmental branding, and visual storytelling.

The goal was simple: create a space people wanted to visit, photograph, and return to.

The Challenge

The Washington, DC location needed to stand apart from traditional resale stores while operating within a compact retail footprint.

The space had to:

  • Showcase premium inventory

  • Create a memorable first impression

  • Encourage customer engagement

  • Support social media content creation

  • Reflect the Status brand at a higher level

The Solution

Botër developed a retail concept centered around experience, atmosphere, and culture.

Key elements included:

  • Environmental design strategy

  • Custom speaker installation centerpiece

  • Premium visual merchandising

  • Architectural focal points

  • Layered lighting design

  • Customer flow optimization

  • Content-friendly brand moments

Every design decision was made to support both the customer experience and the long-term growth of the brand.
